About
Keenan embarked on his journey into the legal field after graduating from Georgia State University, equipped with a robust foundation in law and a fervent desire to champion the rights of the underserved. His career began in earnest at the Paulding County Public Defender's Office, where he honed his skills in defense, passionately advocating for those without a voice. It was here that Keenan rose to the position of Chief Assistant Public Defender, a role in which he demonstrated exceptional leadership and legal prowess, further establishing his reputation as a formidable advocate for justice. During this formative period, Keenan distinguished himself by securing acquittals in a wide range of cases, including murder, rape, aggravated child molestation, aggravated assault, kidnapping, burglary, theft by taking, driving under the influence, battery, stalking, and violation of a temporary protection order (TPO). These victories not only underscored his exceptional legal acumen but also deepened his resolve to make a meaningful difference in his clients' lives.
Fueled by a vision to offer more personalized attention to each case, Keenan nurtured the ambition to start his own practice. However, understanding the importance of a well-rounded perspective in law, he decided to explore the prosecutorial side of the courtroom. Thus, he transitioned into the role of an assistant district attorney, where he broadened his legal repertoire by prosecuting a spectrum of cases, ranging from juvenile court delinquency charges to rape. This invaluable experience equipped Keenan with a comprehensive understanding of the legal system, enabling him to craft more effective defense strategies. With a wealth of knowledge gleaned from both sides of the courtroom, Keenan is now poised to embark on his own practice, committed to providing each client with the focused, empathetic, and vigorous representation they deserve.
